LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 10, 2009) — Florida Southern College alum Chuck Wicks is about to dance his way into your living room.

Wicks will appear in the eighth season of "Dancing With the Stars," which begins March 9 on ABC. A country music singer, Wicks will hit the floor with his girlfriend, Julianne Hough, who has won the "Dancing" competition twice with other partners.

Wicks is a native of Smyrna, Del., who had dreamed of playing major league baseball and played on FSC's varsity baseball team. After college, he moved to Nashville to pursue a different dream: a career in country music. His debut album, "Starting Now," was released last year, and his single, "Stealing Cinderella," was nominated for "Breakthrough Video of the Year" by Country Music Television.
