Business Faculty in High Demand

LAKELAND (Dec. 16, 2008) -- With the economy and stock market in the news on a daily basis, economics experts are in high demand.

Local media are turning to professors in Florida Southern’s Business and Economics Department for their expertise.

Dr. Carl Brown is popular on the local business meeting circuit. He is speaking on the U.S. and Polk County economies at the Lakeland Businessmen’s Luncheon on Wednesday at the Lakeland Yacht and Country Club. Last month, he addressed the U.S. economy at meetings of Emerge Lakeland and the Estate Planning Council of Polk County.

The economy has made Dr. Larry Ross a bit of a TV star. He’s appeared three times on FOX 13 and once on Bay News 9 in recent months to comment on the economy.

Dr. Ross also has written a short article that will publish in the January issue of Florida Trend magazine.
