Florida Southern students, employees, and their spouses and children walked for the Pink Mocs team in Saturday’s Polk County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk around Lake Hollingsworth.

The Pink Mocs team was formed last year by April Sager in the Student Development Office. April was inspired to join the walk by her co-worker, Kathy Monahan, a breast cancer survivor. Also on the team is survivor Betty Calhoun from the Student Health Center. This year, the team was bigger, they had pink team T-shirts printed, and, most importantly, they raised more money for a great cause.
