The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra performs at Florida Southern College

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 17, 2005) - Florida Southern College and the Festival of Fine Arts welcome The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra to the Florida Southern College campus. The performance takes place March 31 at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium.

The Grammy Award-winning Orpheus Chamber Orchestra is recognized internationally as one of the world's great orchestras. Founded in 1972, Orpheus performs orchestral repertoire without a conductor, sharing and rotating leadership roles. The orchestra has recorded nearly 70 albums and collaborated with many great artists, including Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, Yo-Yo Ma, Richard Goode, Alica de Larrocha, Alfred Brendel, Peter Serkin, and Renee Fleming. 

Tickets are $30. FSC students are admitted free of charge; non-FSC students pay half price. For ticket information, please contact the Branscomb Auditorium box office at (863) 680-4296.
