Florida Southern hires new director of Orlando/Ocala program
LAKELAND, Fla. (Nov. 7, 2007) — Florida Southern College has named Stephen D. Floyd as director of the college’s Orlando/Ocala program. Floyd graduated from Florida Southern in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing and returned in 2004 to earn his MBA. Pleased to be working with the FSC community, Floyd stated, “I am excited to be joining Florida Southern College and becoming a part of the school’s continuing tradition of excellence in education.” Prior to joining FSC, Floyd worked for ten years for Bernie Little Distributors in Lakeland, and Bernie Little Distributing in Ocala. He has held positions as director of marketing, director of human resources and general manager. The Orlando/Ocala program is designed specifically to enable the student who is employed full time to complete requirements for a degree without relying on the more traditional collegiate style. Courses of study are scheduled during evening and weekend hours across terms lasting seven weeks. The Orlando program offers a bachelor of science degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing, finance, management, information technology management and accounting, as well as a fifth year of accounting for CPA candidates. The program also offers a R.N. to B.S. in nursing. The Orlando campus is located at 6035 S. Rio Grande Avenue, Orlando Fla. 32809, phone (407) 855-1302. About Florida Southern College |
