FSC theatre department presents “The Curious Savage”
LAKELAND, Fla. (March 22, 2007) — Florida Southern College’s theatre arts department presents “The Curious Savage,” by John Patrick in the Loca Lee Buckner Theatre on the college campus as part of FSC’s Festival of Fine Arts. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. April 5-7 and April 12-14; matinees start at 2:30 p.m. April 8 and April 15. Mary T. Albright of the theatre arts department directs the play. In the play, the recently widowed Mrs. Savage is placed in a sanatorium by her greedy stepchildren when they discover her plans to give away the family fortune. With the inspiration of the kind and quirky residents, she attempts to teach her stepchildren a lesson, and in doing so learns to stand on her own two feet. Tickets are $15.
