LAKELAND, Fla. (March 16, 2007) — Florida Southern College’s Department of Art and Art History presents its Senior Studio Art Show in the Melvin Art Gallery beginning March 30 and running through April 10. The show, which always is a highlight of the gallery year, is being juried this year by Philadelphia artist Jason Travers.  Both the Maris Ozolins Memorial Art Awards and the John R. Reuter Award for the Outstanding Studio Artist will be announced at 7:30 p.m. during the opening night reception on March 30.

The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series. Admission is free. For more information, please contact the gallery at (863) 680-4743.
