FSC students selected for “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges”

LAKELAND, Fla. (Nov. 29, 2006) — The 2007 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” will include the names of 15 students from Florida Southern College who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.

Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have selected these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success.

“Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges” rewards and recognizes individual academic excellence on a national level. Once selected, a student is a lifetime member. Outstanding students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934. 

Students named this year from Florida Southern College are as follows:

Courtney Jo Baker, a senior biology major and the daughter of Carl and Cherylann Baker of Clay, N.Y.

Megan Marie Brown, a senior physical education major. She is the daughter of Marshall and Laura Brown of Carrollton, Ga.

Eoghan Patrick Cullen, a senior biology major and son of William and Frances Cullen of Lakeland, Fla.

Ivelisse De la Fe, a senior music performance major and daughter of Luis De la Fe and Alicia Rodriguez of Havana, Cuba.

Raquel Encalada, a senior theatre arts major from Lakeland, Fla.

Christine Nicole Franklin, a senior music major. She is the daughter of James and Pamela Franklin of Stephens City, Va.

Malena Kathleen Frett, a senior mathematics major and daughter of Kenneth Frett of Oldsmar, Fla., and Barbara Frett of Palm Harbor, Fla.

Sherod Larry Keen, a senior music education major and son of Larry and Sheri Keen of Lake City, Fla.

Christina Mary Martin, a senior psychology major. She is the daughter of Robert and Susan Martin of Lakeland, Fla.

Jordan Kathleen McAfee, a senior biology major and daughter of John and Kathleen McAfee of Lakeland, Fla.

Christina Anjuli Meghan Parks, a senior computer science major. She is the daughter of Richard and Mary Parks of Nassau, Bahamas.

Victoria Eugenia Sandbrook, a senior English major and daughter of John and Virginia Sandbrook of Davie, Fla.

Amanda Meagan Sawyer, a senior psychology major. She is the daughter of Trevor and Jennifer Sawyer of Abaco, Bahamas.

Sara Beth-Ann Warren, a senior religion major and daughter of William and Jane Warren of Lakeland, Fla.

Ashlee Marie Watson, a senior special education major. She is the daughter of Mark and Michele Watson of Lakeland, Fla.
