FSC ROTC holds spring commissioning ceremony
LAKELAND, Fla. (April 13, 2006) — The Florida Southern College Army ROTC Moccasin Battalion will conduct its spring commissioning ceremony April 28 at 10 a.m. in the Annie Pfeiffer Chapel on campus. A reception will follow the ceremony in the Eleanor Searle Drawing Room. The event is free and open to the public. Five Cadets in the ROTC program will be commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army and two additional Cadets, who will be commissioned over the summer, will also be recognized. Retired Maj. Gen. Fred Raymond, president of the Association of the United States Army Suncoast Chapter, will be the guest speaker. The Florida Southern College ROTC program has a long record of excellence and has graduated leaders who have served the Army in leadership roles at the highest levels. For the second consecutive year, the Moccasin Battalion recently earned the distinction of being recognized as one of the top 15% of all ROTC programs in the nation. About Florida Southern College |
