FSC theatre troupe presents “Marvin’s Room”

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 23, 2006) — Florida Southern’s theatre department performs “Marvin’s Room” in the Loca Lee Buckner Theatre on the college campus, as part of FSC’s Festival of Fine Arts series. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. April 6-8 and April 13-15; matinees start at 2:30 p.m. April 9 and April 16. Paul D. Bawek directs the play.

This 1991-92 winner of Broadway’s Drama Desk Award is a poignant account – both heartrending and hilarious – of one woman’s commitment to putting others first, even as she faces her own impending death. The New York Times called this work “one of the funniest and most moving plays of the year.”

Tickets are $15. FSC students are admitted free. Non-FSC students pay half price. For ticket information, please contact the Branscomb Auditorium box office at (863) 680-4296.
