Melvin Art Gallery presents William J. Otremsky and C.J. Yeh exhibit

LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 8, 2006) — Florida Southern College will present the paintings of FSC painting professor William J. Otremsky and the digital images of professor, author and artist C.J. Yeh, Feb. 3 through Feb. 24 in the Melvin Art Gallery on campus. The artists will discuss their work at the opening reception Feb. 3 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Friends since graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, Otremsky and Yeh bring divergent media into a moving conversation about how we see ourselves. Otremsky uses traditional old master painting techniques to explore the nature of the visual image, while Yeh uses digital media to investigate human representation through analogue data.

The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series.  For more information please contact the gallery at (863) 680-4223.
