José Limón Dance Company performs at Festival of Fine Arts
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2005) - Florida Southern College and the Festival of Fine Arts welcome the José Limón Dance Company to the Florida Southern campus on Jan. 25. The event takes place in Branscomb Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
José Limón formed his company in 1946, partnering with his teacher and mentor Doris Humphrey. Together they created a unique modern dance repertory company and an approach to movement that has shaped subsequent generations of dancers and artists.
