Melvin Art Gallery presents multimedia exhibit of Italian artist Roberto Bocci

LAKELAND, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2005) — Florida Southern College will present the works of internationally known Italian artist Roberto Bocci in the Melvin Art Gallery beginning Oct. 4 and running through Oct. 28. Bocci will present his work at the opening reception to be held Oct. 7 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Bocci’s multimedia art includes sound and video installations, single channel videotapes, photographic images and interactive CD-ROMs for desktop computers. Born in Siena, Italy, Bocci has shown his work in America, Europe, Japan and Australia. He received a Fulbright Fellowship in 1987 and a Woodstock Photography Grant. Bocci lives and works in Washington, D.C.

The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and during intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series.
