The academic programs of Athletic Training and Human Movement and Performance at Florida Southern College (www.flsouthern.edu) seek a full-time, tenure-track position beginning August 2014. The selected candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester. Responsibilities will be split between the two programs with courses taught in both.
Education, Work Experience and Requirements
Current BOC certification in athletic training is required with eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of Florida. Two years of clinical experience as an athletic trainer and prior teaching experience is preferred. A doctoral degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or a related field is preferred; A.B.D. will be considered if completion is assured prior to the beginning of fall semester 2014. The successful candidate will possess a passion for student-centered learning and student engagement. The position will require participation in academic advising, scholarship and professional development as well as campus governance.
