Carter, Walbridge, Hawkins Seminar Building, was the second series of buildings completed by students in 1941. Originally the three separate buildings had open courtyards in between. Skylights were predominate throughout as were the colored pieces of glass inlaid in the blocks. This location also housed Dr. Ludd Spivey’s office, the college President at the time of Wright’s relationship with Florida Southern. The variation of block colors in the center area, depicts the test colors Wright had considered for the block.
