Financial Aid › Merit Scholarships
Florida Southern has a rich tradition of awarding scholarships to students of outstanding ability and talent. We offer more than $15 million per year in college aid on the basis of academic merit, talent in athletics or fine arts, leadership, community service, and student need.
The College also awards scholarships to students pursuing select areas of study, including business, nursing, music, English, theatre, art, and education. In addition to this wide array of scholarships, a number of special awards are available to assist students of FSC alumni, students from Israel, ROTC students, scholar-athletes, and members of The United Methodist Church, to name a few.
While international students are not eligible for federal or state grants, loans, or other need-based aid, Florida Southern offers numerous merit scholarships to outstanding international students.
Merit-based scholarships are automatically determined by the Admissions Office when you apply to Florida Southern.
Your scholarship award is just the initial part of your total financial awards package at Florida Southern. Eligible FSC students also receive more than $14 million in federal and state aid, including grants, loans, work study, and scholarships. Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov after January 1 and before March 1 of your senior year in high school to have the best chance for need-based aid programs.
