Fryer Scholarships for Non-Florida Students

Florida Southern is proud to announce a new scholarship to assist exceptional out-of-state students.

This prestigious scholarship is named in honor of Robert L. Fryer, Jr., chairman of the Florida Southern College Board of Trustees and a 1970 FSC graduate.

Incoming first-year students from states other than Florida will receive the Fryer Scholarship for their four years of undergraduate enrollment at Florida Southern. 

The amount of the scholarship will range from $4,000 to $6,000 per student over the course of four years of undergraduate study (or $1,000 to $1,500 per year per student).*

Scholarship Criteria

To receive the Robert L. Fryer, Jr. Scholarship, students must be:

• A resident of a state other than Florida.
• Accepted to Florida Southern for the Fall 2010 semester.
• Eligible to receive and retain an academic scholarship.
• A U.S. citizen.

Students must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to qualify for the Fryer Scholarship.

The Admissions Office will alert you to your eligibility for the Fryer Scholarship, and the Fryer Scholarship will appear on your financial awards package once you are accepted to the College and we receive the results of your FAFSA.  Please contact the Admissions Office for additional information.

* The Fryer Scholarship will not be added on to award packages that meet or exceed the cost of tuition and fees to attend Florida Southern.
