Instructor of Nursing
“Nursing is a discipline of knowledge acquired both through formal education and through life experiences. Life experiences expose me to many cultures and attitudes. My spiritual self allows me to maintain my inner core of who I am in relation to others. These encounters help me to see my role as a nurse through a unique lens grounded in caring. Caring defines my life, and enhances my professional role as a teacher of nursing.”
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I relocated to Florida in early 2002, practicing Registered Nurse for the past 30 years. I have advanced in the ranks in nursing starting with an Associates Degree, to a Bachelors Degree, to a Masters Degree and now I am currently in the dissertation phase for my PhD in nursing education from Capella University. I have practiced various types of nursing ranging from surgery, dialysis, ambulatory care, community health and lastly found the love of education approximately 7 years ago. I currently reside in Brandon, Florida.
I enjoy live theatre, walking, attending seminars, and watching news channels.
