Christopher Fenner, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Communication

Chris Fenner is an Associate Professor of Communication, Chair of the Communication Department, and the Director of Forensics (competitive speech & debate).

Dr. Fenner teaches courses focusing on public relations, persuasion, organizational communication, and mass communication theory. He conducts research primarily in the areas of public relations education, and social media & persuasion. During his tenure as department chair, the Communication Department has grown to add majors in Interpersonal & Organizational Communication and Political Communication.

Dr. Fenner worked with students in 2005 to found the FSC Forensics team. In his role as Director of Forensics, he has coached students to over 116 Regional titles and 28 National titles, including three first-place national champions. He also serves as the Vice President of the Florida Interstate Forensic Association, and is an executive council member of the Novice National Forensic Association.
