I believe that my role as an educator is to empower students to make individual choices and to assist them as they develop their personal perspectives of the world around them. My classroom celebrates and encourages curiosity and diversity. By the end of a semester, I want my students to be able to think for themselves, be able to formulate arguments, and be able to respect opinions different from their own.
I received my bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a minor in Theatre from Florida Southern. While at Florida Southern, I competed with the Forensics team and found my love for speech performance. After graduation, I pursued a Masters of Arts in Strategic Communication and Leadership at the University of West Florida. During that time, I was a Forensics graduate assistant and an undergraduate adviser for the School of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts.
