Specialized approach. Expand your career options by taking electives in other disciplines. For example, interdepartmental specializations, such as sport management and music management, offer the opportunity for you to combine your major with a concentration in another discipline.

Hands-on learning. Apply business theory and concepts to real-world applications. Depending on your major, you’ll learn such things as how to manage a budget for a large corporation, how to handle a company downsizing, and how to develop strategic marketing plans for real companies. In addition to class assignments and summer projects, you’ll have the opportunity for internships at a variety of local, regional, national, and international companies including banks, accounting firms, brokerage firms, insurance offices, governmental offices, advertising agencies, nonprofit organizations, hotels, and supermarket chains.

Practical resources. Enhance your education with department tutors, an in-house, state-of-the-art computer lab offering specialized computer applications for business, and membership in professional fraternities and service organizations. You’ll also be eligible for scholarships funded by local businesses.

A global mindset. Recognizing the importance of preparing students to lead in the global marketplace, Florida Southern builds greater international awareness through each of its course offerings and study abroad programs.
