One of the best routes to a high-level business career is to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a focus in management, which will equip you with the tools and knowledge you need to make strategic decisions about the personnel and financial resources of your organization.
Today's businesses need exceptional CEOs, managers, and administrators capable of controlling complex situations and making difficult decisions that can lead to a company's success. More than planning and organizing resources, business managers must be skilled at applying business principals to direct human resources in all facets of industry and government.
By focusing on management, you will learn to plan, organize, direct, and control an organization's activities. Through a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experiences, you will examine models of effective leadership and learn how to identify, prioritize, and address business opportunities in a global environment.
Many management students find entry-level jobs in the areas of banking and financial services, retail, health care, government agencies, service industries, not-for-profit organizations, and entrepreneurial ventures.
Typically, management students enter management training programs and move through the ranks as they prove their skills. Individuals with management ability are highly sought after in all professions; opportunities are limited only by your determination, imagination, and ambition.
In keeping with FSC's mission to prepare students to make positive and important contributions to society, you will benefit from core courses along with your business course work.
