MOCCASINS SHUT OUT VISITING TEAM FROM COLOMBIA;
CLARKE RECALLED BY BAHAMAS NATIONAL TEAM AGAIN

The Florida Southern men's soccer team earned a 3-0 victory over the Universidad Nacional de Colombia on March 16, in a friendly played in Cocoa Beach. Garrett Gaa scored two of the goals for the Moccasins with Joe McGuire providing the other. Junior defender Daniel Pulse, who missed the 2007 season due to injury, stood out on the back line for Florida Southern, while redshirt freshman Shari Clarke earned the shutout in goal for Florida Southern.

Clarke will also be leaving the Moccasins again in late March to re-join the Bahamas Men's National Team, which is scheduled to compete in a qualifying tournament for the FIFA World Cup. He also spent part of the fall with the Bahamas national team during Olympic qualifying.

The first game will be played March 26 against the British Virgin Islands at 7:00 p.m. local time. The same teams play again in the second leg on March 30. Both games will be played in Nassau due to stadium renovations in the British Virgin Islands.

The winner advances to play Jamaica in the second round scheduled for June.
