Ray Sandhagen ‘71
Chairman, President and CEO
SunTrust Bank, Central Florida Region
Winter Park, Fla.
A 34 year banking veteran, Ray began his career with Trust
Company Bank in Atlanta (now SunTrust Bank, Atlanta) in 1971
as a commercial banking trainee. As Chairman, President and
CEO of SunTrust Bank Central Florida, based in Orlando, he
heads up 140 offices in 12 counties from Lakeland to
Melbourne, and Daytona Beach to Leesburg.
“The small class sizes and accessibility to professors
was an advantage that many of my friends that attended
larger universities did not enjoy. The leadership positions
I was able to experience in my fraternity and FSC
organizations helped prepare me for career opportunities in
management of my banking career.” |
