Angela Cowden ’86 and ’89 (MBA)
County Judge
Tenth Judicial Circuit
Bartow, Fla.

After working as a chemist for five years, Angela shifted gears and embarked on a new career. She received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, and started working as an Assistant State Attorney. For the past two years she has been glad to serve the people of the State of Florida as a County Judge, and says the work is interesting, challenging, and fulfilling. Angela is a member of the Lakeland Bar Association and the Willson American Inn of Court. Dr. Willard, in FSC’s chemistry department, left a lasting impression on her.

“The courses I took at Florida Southern in math, chemistry, and German were challenging, and they taught me to think and make decisions. This has been invaluable to my career.”
