National Alumni Board of Directors
Greetings from

Nancy McHan Cattarius A:‘69
President
Florida Southern College National Alumni Board of Directors

Fellow Alumni,

I am thrilled and honored to have been elected to serve as the president of Florida Southern’s National Alumni Board of Directors. Under the leadership of President Kerr and the College’s Board of Trustees, and with transformations taking place all over campus and throughout the College’s offices and departments, this is a most exciting time to be involved with Florida Southern College. I first came to Florida Southern as a ten-year-old taking piano lessons three days a week from a professor of music, and it has been very special to me since in so many ways. I look forward to giving back to the college since it has given me so much.

There are many important ways for alumni to participate in the College’s advancement, and it is my goal as president of the National Alumni Board of Directors to ensure that you have every opportunity to participate meaningfully in that advancement. The focus of the National Alumni Board of Directors is on alumni affairs, student recruitment, and alumni contributions to College initiatives. We want to facilitate your involvement in recommending bright students for admission, providing internship and employment opportunities to graduates, service on boards and as ambassadors of the College, and through contributions to the Annual Fund.

This Web site and your quarterly issues of the Southernnews are also wonderful resources for information about campus events, news about developments at the College, updates on your fellow alumni, and information on how to contribute to Florida Southern. I encourage you to check them frequently, and to keep the College up to date on your lives and careers.

I look forward to working with you as we help to advance our alma mater to the next level of excellence!

Sincerely,

Nancy McHan Cattarius A:‘69
