Future Students › Getting In

As you take these first steps in becoming a student at Florida Southern College, we would like you to know, you are first and most importantly an individual. With the information you provide, we evaluate your academic credentials, and your personal qualities.  The most successful applicants have provided information that also describes their experiences outside of the classroom.  For example, they have demonstrated leadership qualities in a variety of settings such as school, church, and in their community.  They have also established a proven track record of community service.

The application process is a little different whether you're a U.S. citizen (or permanent resident) or an international student. If you are applying to Florida Southern as an international student, take a look at the process and forms you'll need for your application. We also have separate guidelines if you are interested in transferring to Florida Southern.

We're here to help guide you through the application process and make it as easy as possible. As you begin this process, our Preparing to Apply section may help answer some of your initial questions.

EARLY ADMISSION: Florida Southern College will consider applications from high school juniors who have demonstrated outstanding ability and achievement and wish to begin their college careers before actually earning the high school diploma. In such cases a student must submit a letter from the high school principal granting Florida Southern College permission to enroll the applicant as a full-time student in lieu of attending high school during the senior year. In addition, the student is strongly encouraged to meet with a member of the Admission staff for a personal interview.
