Congratulations again on your acceptance to Florida Southern College for the 2011-2012 academic year. As an admitted student to the Class of 2015, you are invited to participate in a special Early Advising Day program. We hope you will join us.

Early Advising Days provide a great opportunity to learn more about Florida Southern, meet faculty and academic advisors, and begin to plan your fall schedule. You also will have a chance to meet other students who will begin their college experience with you in the fall. Your parents/guardians are also invited to attend. We have a special program just for them.

PLAN TO ATTEND ON APRIL 16

The following is a tentative agenda for the program:

Early Advising Day
9:00 - 9:30 a.m.	Registration and Check-in
9:30 - 9:45 a.m.	Welcome
9:45 a.m. - 12:00 noon	Student Rotations (advising and student IDs)
9:45 a.m. - 12:00 noon	Family Program (for parents/guardians)
12:00 - 12:45 p.m.	Lunch
12:45 - 1:15 p.m.	Student Life Experience
1:15 - 2:15 p.m.	Optional Campus Tours (either residence halls only or complete campus tour)

You will be meeting with an academic advisor during the program and will be first priority for new student registration.

In order to participate in Early Advising Day, you must have submitted your Enrollment Deposit for Fall 2011.*

If you have not yet submitted your Enrollment Deposit and you have decided that Florida Southern is your top choice, you must submit it prior to the program to reserve your space in the Early Advising session with a professor in your academic area of interest.

Submitting your Enrollment Deposit now will:

Secure your advising space in the program.
Confirm that you want Priority Registration.
Secure your scholarships and financial aid for 2011-12.
Save your residence hall space.
Hold your place in the Florida Southern College Class of 2015.

Here are your options for remitting the enrollment deposit:

Submit a check made payable to Florida Southern College for $500 (residents) or $300 (commuters) along with the Admitted Candidate Reply Form you should have received with your acceptance letter OR

Pay over the phone with a credit card. Please call the Admissions Office at 1.800.274.4131 to take advantage of this convenient option.

The Enrollment Deposit is refundable only if we receive a written request for a refund prior to May 1, 2011 (not applicable to students admitted under the Early Decision Agreement program).

* Your deposit is not required until May 1, 2011 – Decision Day. If you make your deposit prior to May 1 but after the Early Advising Days, we will make sure to register you for classes as soon as possible.
