About Lakeland, FL

Nestled among about 40 lakes in the heart of central Florida, Lakeland is one of those rare places that truly is in the middle of everything.

With Tampa and Orlando each less than an hour away, you’ll benefit from access to two major airports—not to mention easy access to attractions like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Busch Gardens. The white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are an hour west, and the Atlantic Ocean beaches are just 90 minutes east.

Conveniently located off Interstate 4, Lakeland is Florida’s 19th largest city, with a regional population of almost 100,000. This growing community offers a skilled workforce, a healthy economy, quality healthcare, excellent transportation, a low crime rate, abundant recreational activities, rich culture, and—of course—exceptional educational opportunities.

Weather

Lakeland is located in central Florida, where frost is rare even during the winter months, and spring begins in February. Fact is, Lakeland has about 330 days of sunshine each year and an average temperature of 73 degrees. To see for yourself, check the current weather conditions in Lakeland.
