Credit Hours & Classification of Students
The number of credit (semester) hours earned determines classification.
Students are also classified as: Degree-seeking full-time, when taking twelve (12) hours or more in any one semester and making systematic progress toward the degree; Degree-seeking part-time, when taking less than twelve (12) hours in any semester and making systematic progress toward the degree; and Special, when taking less than twelve (12) hours in any semester and not being admitted to degree status. Students from other colleges and universities may be admitted as transient students upon presentation of an official statement attesting to good academic standing.
