PAST HONORS PROJECTS

Posey, Wil. Tim O’Brien: Recovering the Hero’s Journey in If I Die in a Combat Zone, Going after Cacciato, and The Things They Carried, 2010. (Advisor: Dr. Paula Buck)

Beurrier, Joy. Ordering Thoughts: A Discussion and Analysis of Electronic Publication and Its Influence on the Scholarly Community. 2004.

From the conclusion: What was once an arena ruled by paper, the modern library has evolved into a multi-faceted resource housing a plethora of media, including electronic databases, Internet connections, microfiche, CD-ROMs, and more. Many academics, especially in the Humanities, may feel intimidated by these changes as the library forces them to incorporate new technology into their exclusive world. As the library changes, so must researchers, as we all become more aware of the incomplete nature of the ordering in which we actively participate.
