“…I owe it almost all to the professors who went way above and beyond their classroom duties to make the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) a reality at FSC. I personally had the opportunity to compete with all of Florida’s major universities twice on an actual advertising and PR campaign. It was a challenge that the entire department rallied around and brought the best out of all of us. I can’t imagine a better opportunity for a student who would like to work in the advertising field.”

“…I truly believe the classes within the communication major at FSC really prepare a student for the workplace. My favorite class had to be speech. I was able to gain so much confidence as a speaker. Now no matter what event or meeting, I have complete assurance that I will be able to express my thoughts in an effective manner.”

“The small community atmosphere within FSC’s communication department was essential to my development as a viable presence in the creative industry. During my two years at FSC, I was fortunate enough to develop several friendships with professors and classmates that are still a major part of my daily life as a business owner.”

“Another valuable part of the internship is the real-world experience to discover whether you like the path you are currently traveling. Speaking about various jobs in college is great but can often be ‘romanticized’ visions of the truth. It’s important to get some real on-the-job experience so that you can decide if that specific area is suited to what you want to do.”
