Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society

The FSC Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society was started in 1999, and has been involved with several other clubs that are part of the Student Government Association.

Our mission is to increase awareness of chemistry, to conduct outreach programs, and to provide a social setting for students interested in the sciences.

During National Chemistry Week, students from FSC travel to area elementary schools, children’s museums, and the mall to demonstrate and share the annual chemistry theme.

As part of our community outreach program, we collect Thanksgiving food baskets and Christmas presents for underprivileged families
