Using mathematics, chemistry, physics, and geology as their foundation, biologists seek to unravel the mysteries of life.  Through their explorations into the inner workings of tiny cells or entire ecosystems, biologists examine living organisms in all their various and complex forms in search of the processes that govern our existence and drive life on Earth.

As a biology student at Florida Southern, you’ll move beyond the classroom by applying what you learn in real-life settings.  Guided by our outstanding faculty, you’ll seek answers to scientific questions through observation and experimentation. You’ll learn the techniques and methods needed to perform meaningful research.
