Scholarships and Awards

We are fortunate to have several endowed scholarships for outstanding students. We award as many scholarships as possible to show our appreciation for academic achievement.

Scholarships include:

• Boris Sokolof/Southern Bio-Research Scholarship is given to an incoming first-year student
• Helen and Charles McConnville Scholarship, Charlene Poland Holt Scholarship and Herman and Theresa Baum Scholarship are awarded to upperclassmen for excellence in their academic work.
• Biology Merit Award is given to the one graduating senior deemed by the biology department faculty as having contributed most to the department.
