Dr. Haldeman has been a part of the FSC Biology Department since 1972. Since then, he has taught courses primarily in three distinct areas: Comparative Anatomy, Ecology, and Geology.

Dr. Haldeman's professional interests focus largely on Evolutionary Ecology, and he is currently working on a Sand Scrub Reclamation project for the Florida Institute for Phosphate Research.

During Spring Semester 1998, Dr. Haldeman took a sabbatical to extend his studies on various aspects of thermoregulation. His investigations led him to Patagonia as well as to many other locations.

Dr. Haldeman is a member of the Sigma Xi, Beta Beta Beta, Phi Kappa Phi, and serves in the Faculty Senate as a representative on Student Life Committee of the Board of Trustees.
