Jump Start : Personal Training
Want to get in shape? Feel better? Increase your athletic performance?
Whatever your goals, a personal trainer will guide you with one-on-one sessions and a personalized training program, absolutely FREE! Our personal trainers provide you with single or combinational services which include: fitness assessments, nutrition coaching, exercise prescription and personalized training.
Your first session, typically, begins with a fitness assessment that will detail your strengths and highlight areas for improvement. The results will be used to design an exercise program specific to your goals. The fitness assessment takes approximately one hour and will test the following areas:
A second session will then be scheduled with your personal trainer to go through the designed workout. Sessions can be continued at individual’s discretion. Periodic re-tests can also be schedule to gauge the degree to which you are accomplishing the goals set (at least 6 weeks apart). It is recommended that you schedule pre and post test with the same personal trainer.
Nutrition is also an important aspect of exercise training. Nutrition coaching sessions will educate and help you make positive dietary changes to achieve your optimal health. Note, coaches do not write food plans (the sample plans are written by registered dietitians); they provide basic knowledge of healthy eating and how to incorporate them into your lifestyle.

To sign up, visit the Hollis Wellness Center and fill out the Jump Start packet. From there you will be assigned to a personal trainer.
