Bosch Security Systems, in conjunction with Florida Southern College, offers a personal alarm transmitter to all members of the Florida Southern Community for $20.00 per year. Users are issued a personal alarm, which they may activate in emergency situations. After being activated, the Transmitter tracks user's location on campus area and a detailed map showing his or her movements can be viewed on a computer screen in the Safety Office. The transmitter also sets off sirens and strobe lights when activated. Florida Southern is one of only a handful of colleges and universities employing this modern technology.
