"As a nurse educator, I feel that nursing education is a discipline, structured to teach the art and science of nursing. Nurse educators work to initiate essential nursing components to students in both the classroom and clinical setting in order to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and basic tools of nursing: caring, compassion, professional behavior, communication, assessment, clinical decision making, performance of caring interventions, teaching and learning, collaboration, and managing care."
