Do you thrive on challenges?
If you are a student who thrives on academic challenges and recognizes that the goal of a true education is more than just "knowing the book", FSC’s Honors Program may be the right choice for you.
The Honors Program is highly focused on supporting and helping bright, highly motivated students to take their knowledge to the next level with additional academic support and a greater utilization of FSC’s physical amenities.
In the Honors Program
at FSC, we believe in pushing boundaries, exploring the unexplored, taking intellectual risks, and stimulating your mind.
If you did not enter FSC as an Honors student, you may apply to the Honors Program during your first year at Florida Southern. In addition to having a minimum GPA of 3.5, you will be required to write and submit an essay explaining your interest in becoming part of the Honors Program.
Transfer students may also be eligible for the Honors Program on a case-by-case basis, particularly if they were honors students at their previous schools.
Honors students generally represent the top 10% of their class and have a 1260 minimum combined score on the SAT (or a minimum composite score of 28 on the ACT) and a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher. In addition, honors students typically have achieved distinction in leadership, community service, athletics, or the arts.
