Transfer Student FAQ
Who is considered a transfer applicant?
You are considered a transfer applicant if you have taken any university/college coursework after graduating high school.
What credits will transfer?
Typically, up to 62 credits from a two-year community college or up to 93 credits from a four-year college or university will be accepted. Courses must have a C or better. A transfer evaluation will be completed during the application process.
Where do transfer students live?
Transfer students can live in one of our traditional residence halls or in one of our off-campus housing options.
Do transfer students quality for financial aid and scholarships?
Yes! 99% of FSC students, including transfer students, receive financial aid. For transfer students, we are also proud to offer the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship and a Transfer Academic Recognition Scholarship.
If I have been out of school for a while, can I apply as a transfer student?
Florida encourages students over the age of 24 to apply to adult degree programs that meet the needs of working adults.
Do I need to submit high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores?
If you have earned fewer than 25 transferrable college credits you must also submit high school transcripts and scores.
Can Florida students transfer their Bright Futures Scholarships?
Recipients of Bright Future Scholarship that meet the renewal cumulative GPA requirements may visit the Bright Futures Scholarship Program website to transfer their scholarship award to Florida Southern College.
